NEW YEAR, NEW YOU! 5 AWESOME TIPS TO FRESHEN UP YOUR BATHROOM

NEW YEAR, NEW YOU! 5 AWESOME TIPS TO FRESHEN UP YOUR BATHROOM
The dedicated team at Mask love looking after your bathroom, so we’ve put together 5 of our top tips to give your bathroom a fresh new look for the new year.

1. Accessorise
Turn a shabby bathroom into a chic one with some artful clutter. Add a freestanding lamp, a bunch of flowers, an interesting stool, a make-up table, a large light fitting – anything that will improve the appeal of your space. Why not use beautiful soap dishes or colourful glass jars filled with cotton wool balls to distract from tired old doorknobs and floor tiles. More is definitely more!

2. Freshen up with scents
Mask comes in 7 luscious scents and is the perfect way to display a chic, yet discreet bottle. Our preference is not for a sickly sweet scented bathroom. Nor for the smell of lingering cleaning supplies or air freshener spray. Clean and refreshing aromas are best for bathroom spaces. Citrus and ocean breeze are more than suitable, but don’t limit yourself just to the conventional, try some woody overtones or soft floral scents.

3. Reflect on some mirrors
Mirrors are useful for bouncing light off reflective surfaces and can help to make your bathroom appear bigger. Add a big mirror over the tub to create the illusion of a larger space. Or try an oval shape mirror which will appear to stretch upward and make the ceiling feel tall.

4. Splurge on a few little luxuries
Just by adding a few pieces of luxury to an average bathroom you can create a high-end feeling. Invest in some luxurious towels and place them neatly on a shelf. Hang a beautiful bathrobe from a decorative door hook, or add a big plant to evoke a spa mood in the room.

5. Add extra storage
Who couldn’t do with some more storage? Just by adding some free-standing storage you can make a world of difference in your bathroom. Try a small chest of drawers, light metal racks or some shelves to get some extra space. If you are short on space, try a tall, slim shelving unit and use small boxes for storage.

With just a few simple ideas to get you started, you will quickly go from bathroom boredom to bathroom bliss.

From all of us at Mask, Happy New Year 2017!
